Dramatic Publishing Company publishes plays for use in schools, community theatres and professional theatres. When they found themselves falling behind some of their competitors, they requested a new ecommerce website with a more modern look and feel. The site was developed on the Magento Ecommerce platform and is fully responsive to allow for customers to use the site on the phones and tablets.

Wilmette Park District already had a well established branding that they used in their print and marketing materials, but their website was really lacking when it came to design and usability. Using their already established color palette, a responsive website was developed that brought out the fun and family friendly vibe the Park District cultivated in their print material. The site's navigation was restructured to make it easier for users to navigate and was developed using the Bootstrap responsive framework.

Healthy Aurora in an initiative through the Center for Healthcare Innovation with the goal of educating the population of Aurora about their healthcare options and how to best use them. The friendly, approachable website is home to a variety of videos and information on healthcare topics including terminology, navigating insurance, and children’s healthcare. Because the primary audience of the site has a lower education level and is comprised of a large percentage of non-english speakers, the theme of the campaign was built around common fairly tales as a way to introduce the idea of finding the right kind of healthcare in an easy to understand way.

C+R Research is a consumer research company in Chicago. They were looking to create a brand new design to replace their current, slightly dated feeling site. The goal was to create a visually engaging website that highlighted C+R's research expertise in a clear way. Nutralys is a line of plant-based protein ingredients developed by Roquette, the largest supplier of plant protein in the United States. Roquette’s goal was for Nutralys to become a leader in the plant protein industry and to hold more authority among their peers. With this goal in mind, a new brand was developed to identify Nutralys as a more modern and established company. The brand aims to appeal to the emotion behind the science of Nutralys’ innovative product line, and hint at Nutralys’ goal of improving the health of consumers and the planet through plant-based ingredients.

After a successful rebrand project, Nutralys’ vast library of marketing collateral needed to be updated to match it’s new, more modern look and feel. The goal was to take a more lifestyle, editorial approach to the layouts, photography, and overall design while still communicating valuable industry information and data. Updated collateral pieces included example recipe concept cards, product fact sheets, company overview sheets, and health benefit sheets. Nutralys’ ingredients are not visually appealing, so updated photography highlighted end-product food that was made using the ingredients, as well as lifestyle images of target consumer segments.

Controlled Products Systems Group is an industry leading distributor of access control products. At the end of 2020 they released their first industry trends report as a way to connect with their customers after so many of them had been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Data for the report was collected through a survey and the top trends were then presented in a published report. Interesting graph treatments and editorial layouts were implemented to create a publication that existing customers and the general access control audience enjoyed reading and set the report apart from a run-of-the-mill manufacturer sell sheet.
Station One Smokehouse is a new barbecue restaurant in the Chicago suburbs. The goal of the logo project was to establish the business as a trendy, fast-casual restaurant with a rustic-industrial vibe, who's main focus is Texas brisket. The owner and chef also wanted to highlight the building's history as a fire station. With these goals in mind a logo was developed based off the shape of a fireman's badge, incorporating the silhouettes of a cow and pig to highlight the restaurant's love of all things meat.

Springer Publishing publishes medical textbooks for nursing, behavioral sciences, oncology, pathology, and many other medical fields. The client wanted their 2018 catalog to be better organized than their past catalogs as well as have an updated and clean look and feel. This catalog was put together in Indesign with the use of a database software which allowed for all data to be prepared in spreadsheets and then imported into the layout.

Samsung Summer of Play was a promotion Samsung used to introduce their new Samsung Galaxy Player. The promotion consisted of a Facebook app contest to win your ideal day of play as well as a national truck tour featuring sketch comedy. A logo was developed for the contest that made use of app icon graphics to tie in the Galaxy Player and the Facebook app was designed to appear to be on a Galaxy Player screen. Besides the Facebook app and logo, this project also consisted of various print banners and posters, apparel items, and a truck wrap.

Science in Progress is a streaming video series available through Discovery Education featuring many aspects of the scientific world, including neurons, hereditary genetics, and evolution. For this project graphic storyboards were developed which were then animated to make exciting and interesting videos for use in middle school - high school classrooms.

Cengage is an educational content company that provides eBooks and other learning tools for higher education and k-12 students and teachers. They were looking for a series of HR videos for new hires to explain health benefits, 401(k) savings plans, and company policies. Cengage had already established a branding look and feel which they wanted to carry through the videos. To make the videos more engaging to viewers a character was developed who learned along with the new employees.

The Center for Green School works to promote green building standards for educational facilities across the country. The organization wanted to develop infographics to showcase reasons why green building standards are better for schools as well as the students that attend them and to promote it's annual Green Apple Day of Service event . These infographics were used in print materials as well as on social media platforms.

The US Green Building Council is an organization that advocates for green building design, construction, and operation. Their LEED certification is program is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. The organization requested an infographic that was used how the LEED program works. A series of interconnected gears was used to represent the infrastructure that works together to make the LEED program work.

Articheck is an app that allows for the digitization of condition reports used by fine art institutions, shippers, auction houses, and private collections. While traditional condition reports are time consuming and create endless paper trails, Articheck allows for quick creation, and, because the reports are digital, they can be shared instantly across all participants of fine art shipping, buying, and selling. Articheck requested an explainer video to highlight the benefits of switching to the app. The look and feel was developed to have a painterly, artistic quality geared towards its fine art audience.

The goal of Allstate's Purple Purse project is to raise awareness for domestic violence, especially the little talked about financial domestic abuse that happens when spouses prevent access to finances, effectively trapping people in harmful relationships. The Pass it On event was used to promote the project as well as its cause by distributing purple purses across the nation and asking people to check their purses in on a microsite to show how far the purses traveled. The promotion also included a Facebook app that encouraged people to share inspirational quotes. For each quote shared money was donated to help support domestic violence victims. To support the microsite and Facebook app, postcards, posters, yard signs and other promotional items were also developed.

Swirlgear is an apparel startup that makes unique athletic wear for women. This catalog is for their Fall/Winter 2014 line. The design look is very clean and minimal and makes use of large photographs to really show off the line.

This infographic was developed for an education website to help students better understand the similarities and differences between the two main types of cells, as well as their various parts and functions.

These graphics were created for use on an educational website for a series of videos about the classic book, The Odyssey. The videos are used by higher education students to help them understand the material as well as its literary themes and motifs. The client had already established a very simplified graphic treatment for its other materials, which was then translated into graphics for the video series.

Prep Baseball Report is a scouting resource for high school baseball that provides stats and information to prospective college scouts. As the site content grew and more emphasis was put on curated news and blogs, PBR requested an updated to their previously designed website to make it brighter and easier to read.
